Sorry if this is a bit long winded but copied off my tour web page intro....I am a 70 years old Japanese Speaking Tour Guide based here in Christchurch.Born in Scotland I came to New Zealand to be a dairy farmer but UK going in to Europe changed that and I worked in hospitality and hotel management before operating my own bakery/coffee shop I lived in Japan for 5 years teaching English as a Second Language whilst learning the language with my young family. I have operated my small inbound tour company through my web page specialising in sightseeing, outdoors and sports to Free and Independent travellers for nearly 30 years which was mainly for Japanese clients however Earthquakes here in Christchurch, weakening of the Yen mean I now offer tours to both Japanese and English speaking clients I have worked as a guide contracted to the main Japanese Companies conducting day tours in and out of Christchurch. My interests include a wide range of sports including fly fishing, golf, skiing, tennis, mountain biking,volley ball, table tennis, hiking and camping, organic gardening and cooking .

I visit Coogee two or three times a year for 7 - 10 days and love playing sport. I play a lot of table tennis in my hometown Christchurch at Blenheim road stadium and Bishopdale Library on a Monday night and I am keen to join with any reasonably good level players. Been playing for 65 years and love the game...I m playing Div 4 in Christchurch..Im not going to the olympics but can play pretty well and very mobile for a 71 year old
